Mango Teleservices.

Bangladesh's first private international internet gateway has carried the country's traffic since 2008. Its website didn't say so. We audited the site and the brand, built a new identity system around what Mango already owned, and rebuilt the website from 22 pages to 37.

The problem

An 18-year infrastructure operator, introduced by a car-charging slideshow.

Mango received Bangladesh's first private IIG licence in 2008. On mango.com.bd that fact appeared once, in the middle of a paragraph. The homepage rotated through electric vehicles, energy, banking and schools, all with equal weight. The headline read "Contribute in the ICT Industry while being a catalyst in bringing transformation in the sectors, towards a digital bangladesh."

Seven menu links (IPLC, Electric Vehicle, Solar, School, Lithium, Motor Accessories and History) returned a 404 error. The Software and Managed Services pages still showed "Lorem ipsum" placeholder text. The footer said © 2022, next to GitHub and Dribbble icons left over from a template. Across 22 pages there was no contact form and no quote button. An ISP or a bank that wanted capacity had to find a phone number and call.

We scored the site 28 out of 120 across 12 website dimensions, and the brand 32 out of 100 across 10.

What we built

A brand built around "the backbone", and a site that proves it.

We started from positioning: "The backbone behind Bangladesh's digital life." The identity keeps the mango logo and gives it rules. The two neutrals are Backbone Ink #0E1116 and Paper #FAF8F3. Mango Yellow #FECA26 is sampled from the logo and limited to 10% of any screen, so it works as a signal instead of a background. Headings use Sora, body text uses DM Sans, and JetBrains Mono carries licence years, routes and specs. Hind Siliguri is loaded for Bangla. Every text and background pairing was checked against WCAG 2.1. The old white-on-yellow headline measured 1.5:1, and that combination is now banned.

The website is a Next.js application with 37 designed pages (55 generated routes). Services are grouped under four verbs: Connect, Host, Secure and Manage. Separate pages cover ISPs, banks, government, enterprise, education and digital businesses. A three.js globe shows the network. Every page has a system-status bar, a 24/7 support line and a "Talk to an engineer" button. A three-step quote form sorts enquiries by need. All copy lives in typed content files. Any figure the client hasn't confirmed is wrapped in a Verify component, so nothing unconfirmed can go live unnoticed.

The outcome

Measured on both homepages as they stand today.

The new site is live as a preview and is waiting for Mango's sign-off before it replaces mango.com.bd. Traffic, rankings and enquiry numbers can only be measured after launch, so they aren't claimed here. Everything below we measured ourselves on 16 September 2026.

Before launch

What Mango still needs to confirm.

  • Every figure marked Verify: SLAs, specs, cloud pricing, licence numbers and venture statuses.
  • A one-day photoshoot (operations centre, data centre, team and leadership) to replace the placeholder images.
  • Permission to show client logos, plus current job vacancies and 2024–26 milestones.
  • Connecting the quote, careers and newsletter forms to Mango's email or CRM.
  • Legal review of the privacy, terms and cookie pages.
  • 301 redirects from the old /front/ and /cloud/ addresses, so existing Google results keep working.
